Helping Hands Ministry at Ebenezer Baptist Church

Helping Hands’ goal is to provide physical assistance to those in the body who need help with such things as cleaning, yard work, light home repair, moving, etc., and who are unable to do it themselves. We do it to show God’s love in a tangible way to those in need.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Essentially we look to do “odd jobs” such as painting, cutting lawns, shovelling driveways, etc.

WHO DO WE DO IT FOR?

The target of this ministry is to help people who are in situations or circumstances that prevent them from getting something done.

WHEN DOES IT HAPPEN?

We ask that you would be able to donate time once a month. Whether it is a weekend or weeknight depends on availability of the person and the members of Helping Hands.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

When we serve others we serve God. He gave us all gifts, talents and abilities for the benefits of others. We are saved for service and one day we will stand before our Creator and be accountable to Him.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
To let people know that there is a God who loves them. Serving one another is the greatest expression of God’s love and is the base of every commandment he has given us. When we do this we become living examples of God in a world that so desperately needs what only He can provide.

AM I QUALIFIED?
As long as you are able to surrender a few hours each month and you would enjoy working with people and ministering to them in a fun and unique way…..you qualify!

HOW DO WE GUARANTEE IT'S NOT ABUSED?
Requests for Helping Hands are submitted to the Pastoral staff at EBC. They are reviewed to ensure that it is a legitimate need. Once it is approved a team is assembled.

HOW IT WORKS:
Calls are received by EBC and a co-leader sets up volunteers to provide the service needed.
